TYPE: Costa Rica. Heredia: near Los Cartagos, "at immediate boundary of Prov. de Alajuela," on Cordillera Central near the continental divide, at about 1900-2000 m alt., in cool cloud forest, R.T. Northen s.n. (holotype, AMES).
